Just finished detail cleaning my new old HVA 1600 6.5x55 - she's purty. Simply handling her and seeing details where the Swedes appear to have up-engineered and definitely made more elegant the German Mauser paradigm, this could become my favorite rifle.
Any ideas on best all-round loads, especially bullet selection, would be very welcome.

I am also looking for more info, read the threads mentioned already.

If anyone is using this caliber for long range match shooting, any input on loads would be much appreciated. Looking for data on a Sierra Matchking 140 gr. specifically if anyone has used it, planning on using it as a starting point...

I use 36 gr. of IMR 4895 under a Hornady 140 gr. A-max in my Swedish Mauser. Accurate and easy on the shoulder. Could go hotter, but my M96 is a 1899 so I'm trying to be gentle.

I use 45.2 grains of Alliant Reloder 22 with 140 grain Sierra MatchKings in a Swedish model 96.
