It's been raining for 48 hours straight, courtesy of tropical storm "Ike" here in chicagoland .. 100% humidity like a freakin rain forest!
[my Blücher Saber blade has corrosion now ]
I'm most worried about the guns in my safe.. Should i turn a fan on and let some air circulate throught there? It smells musty.
Any anti-corrosion tips for gunsafes would be much welcomed

I have one of those Remington mini dehumidifiers (Model 365) in my safe. I just had to recharge it Friday, and half of the crystals are clear again, not much blue there.
I keep the air in that room moving almost all the time (fan), and it has not been helping much.

How about a Light bulb In the case -It will keep the air warm enough to drive off the moisture-we keep our wielding rod in a case with heat so it cant absorb moisture . Just an idea.
I had a terrible Rust problem when I lived in SC I swear all my guns would rust in a day .. and AC unit in the room would have fixed it..

You can go to Wal-Mart and get a couple of the little plastic buckets of "Damp-rid" moisture absorber. I use those in my safe and they do a good job.
