Ok, I am going against the "rule" that Larry and I decided on, but I am not advertising for myself here. In addition, this is such a good deal, I'd like for one of you guys to snag it. Most of you don't check the For Sale forum, and match stuff just dies there. Guys, this is a killer deal, and if you want it, email me and I'll point you in the direction of the seller. The seller is a good guy and HP shooter...nothing to worry about there. Do not hesitat on this opportunity. BTW, with 3500 rounds, it probably has another year's worth of X-Course x ring shooting in it, and 3 years of Reduced Course.
Here's the ad:
2. Colt A2 upper with a Frank White 1/4 x 1/4 sight, Rock River float tube, new never used Rock River thermo handguards, new never used Fulton Armory M16 full circle bolt, new never used DPMS charging handle and a 1-8, 20", SS, Krieger barrel with a 2.500 chamber.(3500-4000 rounds). I used it at three 50 shot 100 yard reduced matches after 3500 rounds. $500.

C'mon Sven, you can buy Steve's upper and slap it on a Fab-10 lower (and I have some loads that will just sing in that setup)... there's a solution for every problem. :D
Granted, breaking it open to load from the top every ten rounds is kinda silly. :barf:

Could I really use a FAB-10 in highpower competition - people laughing at me aside, how long does it take to break the darn thing open and load?

Hmm....if you could make the internal "magazine" capable of accepting stripper clips, it would be possible. A royal PITA (ultimately forcing you to go back to your wonderful M1A) but possible none the less.
I'd pay good money to watch you shoot your rapids with it.
BTW, folks, 22 views on my "Woo Hoo" thread and not a single one of you will hoist a beer with me? Jeez!

Buy the upper, get a Fab-10 to practice with at home and then go out of state to buy a proper lower that you keep in, for example, a safe deposit box in Las Vegas. On your way to the match, stop to pick up the lower, go to the (out of state) match, then back to Vegas (baby!) to return it to its resting place. Those free flights will come in handy. ;)
Cooper 6.5x284, another Valtro, of course you need a USP Expert, Master Rated (!!) Steve's upper and two receivers, and Ken still hasn't shown you his P7 collection yet, has he? We'll have you broke and happy in no time flat.

Guys, I am about one RCH from snagging this myself. Talking to the owner about it. If I get it, I can hold on to it for newbies. Still, if anyone wants to snag it now, do so.
Dang, already sold...here's oen other of his:
3. My Long Range AR-15 gun strictly for 600 and 1000 yards. 1-7 twist, chrome-moly, 20" Douglas barrel with a 2.500 chamber.(560 rounds) First Strike 1/4 x 1/4 tri-pinned sight with standard AR-15 bolt and charging handle. $600.

Steve just a note,
i thought the words "fulton armory" as in the " Fulton Armory M16 full circle bolt" were anathema(sp?) to you?? there been a micro change of heart here, or is it simply that for that deal you'd do it regardless??
just wondered

Weeeeell, it is, BUT the deal I was trying to work on didn't include the bolt! ;)
BTW, met a guy on the "Fulton Armory Rifle Team" (a new experiment by He who must not be mentioned). H really caught a rash from some of us in the know...funny, he said, "Yeah, he's an ******* alright, but he gives me free gear to shoot with." Hmm.

steve I must amit it was a nice shooting coat.
I would like one like it also so I can put a hesse arms patch under it as I think about the same for both of them.
it did get alot of attention and I'am sure stands out at matches.
the guy wearing it is VERY good and I do not think it would make much difference in what he shot?
I wounder if he had the fulton armory special rear pinned sights.
I should of asked john if he could do one like cl--ts.
(sorry almost said it)
maybe thats whats killing my scores I need one of those bolts?
floating huh! LOL

Agreed. I wouldn't have done it. I might have shined him on until he got happy that I was on his team, and then I'd have told him, "You know, if you'd stop screwing over newbies, and actually devote something to the sport, I'd be on your team. As it is, you're just a marketeer, and you can shove your gear!"
