Hello all ...

I had been missing a .22 plinker (having sold my Walther p22) so I picked up a U22 to play with. I like the integral rail, the ambi safety, 4 inch or so barrell and fit and finish.

Issues: My cheap red dot sight did not fit on rail. Will need to look for another one. Also, the ambi safety is not easy to operate with thumb. Mag release on frame under barrel on right side. Sights were way off for first shots. Front sight is a little large.

Pros: Love the grip angle, feels good in hand. Sights zeroed rapidly. Started making one ragged hole after twenty rounds at 10 yards.
No failures of any kind. 100 rds, no problems ... will put more through it later this week. Ammo used, Remington Velocirator ...

results: nice little plinker, not a target gun. A smaller front sight might allow for more exact aiming. But this will be fun to carry in field an plink with, once I find a good red dot scope. Price paid was $230 out the door.

The Simmons red dot scope I got for mine didn't want to fit either. I used a small rat-tail file to to lengthen the mounting holes and it went on fine after that.
