Hello Everyone: I am a new member, and this is my 1st post. I have been an NRA Life member since 1975. I have shot competitively in Police Combat when I was a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. I also shot competively in 3 gun Bullseye for several years. Held Master in Both. Next---I don't know too much. Just a little. Very little if any on the new models, and modern equipment. I was in Law Enforcement 30 + years ago. Things have changed. I haven't kept up with it. Hope to get some advice here though. Thanks for reading. Best Regards to all: Barney

Barney, here are a few lessons that newbies need to know:

Lesson#1: Tamara has every single gun known to man, and a few others that are not. Trying to compete with Tamara in this department is fruitless.

Lesson #2: ROTL can levitate.

Lesson #3: Tactical is spelled S-K-U-N-K-A-B-I-L-L-Y.

Lesson #4: Never get between twoblink and his M1A.

We love you Barney. ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm sure you've been around longer than that purple bayonet dummy. No wonder why the gubmint didn't want bayonet lugs on our rifles.

Well I put in my birthdate but something happen, it was showing me born in 1969 the last I checked? Should be 3/4 41 so I guess I have been around a little while. My skin is a little thicker because of it. Putting 3 + years at sea on a Navy Destroyer kinda gets you use to some kiddin also. Thanks all for the greetings:

Regards: Barney

Welcome Barney!

Sounds like you can teach us a thing or two about the game. Don't hesitate to jump in.

We had someone else mention the same 1969 birthdate thing; he was also born in the early '40's. Got to be an AARP bug. :D We'll look into it.

Howdy Barney.
A .38 in a Bill Jordan rig may be a little dated, but it still gets the job done!

Monte: I met Bill at Jimmy Clarks log home when he lived in Keithville, LA. He was a nice man. He had the largest hands of anyone I ever shook hands with. He was interesting to talk with, and not a blowhard, but polite. I was in the same law enforcement outfit he was. He had retired when I met him but knew many of the men I knew.

I gotta ask, did you adopt the name "Barney" after Barney Fife?

Seriously, welcome. I look forward to reading your future posts.
