Help needed in dating a K-14

I recently purchased a K-14 and would appreciate any help in determining the year it was manufactured. The serial number is K 1900xx. Though the revolver was listed as a K-14 the model number is not on the gun. Is this a typical feature of early K-14s?

Greeting's thor745-
Looks like your S&W model 14 is going to be from the
year 1953. Congrat's on that find my friend! The S/N's
for 1953 range from: K175638 to include:K210095
The stamping of model numbers on Smith's did not
occur until 1957!

That gun had a name instead of a number - The K-38 MASTERPIECE! Enjoy!

Nice catch.
K-38 Target Masterpiece----"Pre-Model 14"
Most of them tack drivers and many a match was won by users of them.
