Trying to understand that situation is giving me a headache.

Stop hurting yourself. There is no logic behind this. Stupid, irrational people will do stupid, irrational things.

In this case, the owner of the stripmall has yet to realize that she should raze her building to the ground in order to return the ground to it's natrual state.

The owner of this little mall has been lampooned by at least one columnist in the local rag (The Austin American-Statesman) on more than one occasion. Each new story becomes more . . . bizarre.

Makes me wonder, though, about the tenant . . . knowing the landlord is a lunatic, why didn't she just spend a couple of bucks to get some ant baits and take care of the problem herself?

It may be in the lease agreement that the tenant will not harm any animals, even if that drives them out of business.

I would think the situation would, in time, be self correctiong.
The building owner will lose it when it is empty and he can no longer service the note.

Meanwhile...the tenents suffer from the madness.

Apparently she's never had a fire ant crawl up her shorts.

"Other animals are made of the same stuff human beings are – flesh, blood and bone. They feel the same range of emotions we do and physiologically they feel pain in exactly the same way we do," News 8 quotes Bruce Friedrich as saying.
Yeah, and other animals eat meat, too. Must be the lack of vitamins that make brains malfunction so badly.

Someone should open a mall across the street and require tenants to sell animal products! Call it Zoorama :D

Nancy Owen, owner of Alegra's Bridal and Invitations, told the news channel she was informed she could not exterminate her ants but must "relocate" them.

I'm sure that the Dahli Orkin-man could "relocate" them to a higher trancendental plane...

I do not understand these druids. What are druids doing in Tejas anywho? Must be the heat that makes them so loony?!?!

First we had all the posts about the b'ars in the hairy-chested West, now ants???

Quick! Someone post a poll! "Which pistol caliber for ants":D

I believe that some Diazanon would take care of that right quick. Maybe even some sort of spray.

Hell, why didnt PETA in their infinite wisdom offer some "natural ant-deterrent spray" concoction? Some sort of combination of juices, extracts, and herbs or something???? It doesnt hurt the poor wittle antsy-wantsies, and just makes them think about going somewhere else.

 :cuss: :banghead: :fire: :barf: :barf: :barf:

Wow. I do believe I'd put an ant farm and a pair of tweezers on her desk and tell her to feel free to relocate the ants herself. . . .
