Every once in a while i see the 18.5 barrels that can take accu choke tubes, and then i call the place and they are sold out. Does ANYBODY know if somebody has them in stock? I would prefer to pattern my shotgun for home defense instead of just throwing pellets down the barrel. Thanks.

Midway has a bunch:

Reread...apparently you aren't talking about chokes...

Yeah...didn't find any 18.5 barrels with chokes, but did find a 20"

Try the LE132 or its commercial cousin, H132. Its reduced recoil, but its still 9 pellet 00B and patterns extremely tight out of my 590. LE132s normally gave me an 8 to 10 in spread at 25 yards, havent shot the H132 at paper yet, but it seems to pattern as tight.

If you can live without your scattergun for a while Kurts Kustom Firearms can thread it for a reasonable price. In May he quoted me $35 for labor.
