Does anyone know about this 9mm armscor 124gr rnl ammo at aim? Is it decent plinking/range ammo?

I've found the quality to be uneven. Sometimes decent sometimes not. Useful for plinking and drills.

The lead stuff from them just plain stinks. Leads horribly and is uneven. Might as well buy Ultramax (plus Ultra give the added excitement of maybe blowing up one's gun!!!:D).

Now, on the other hand, the Armscor jacketed stuff is a little dirty, but good plinking and relatively consistent. I use their .45 ACP FMJ on occasion and it is somewhat good for it's purpose: Plinking and target shooting. It's not match ammo. Armscor components arent bad either, my experience shows that they are a little more consistent in weight compared to Prvi loading components.

the lead can sometimes be wishy-washy because it's sifted out of backstops by range boys and remelted into new bullets. works fine for over there. but here i think we got better options.

Their FMJ factory ammo has been fine for me and the brass reloaded well.

Heard reports their lead "re-manufactured" uses too soft a bullet. But then I re-manufacture my own.

I was interested since it is $5/100 cheaper than WWB from wallmart and ~ the same price as wolf steel case...but I get to reload the brass!

if the ammo sucks, then at least just blast away with it to reload then lol...

in the philippines, most everyone uses LRN ammo, it's the cheapest. over there, expect to pay $25-$30 for a 50 round box of this same ammo. ouch!

I bought a few boxes of it, the exact same stuff you mentioned. After shooting two boxes, just 100 rounds, my Star Mod 30MI was so leaded up that it took literally 3 hours (in two sittings) to get 90% of it out of there. When I finally got to the point where I could see the rifling, I got the rest out by shooting some jacketed stuff through. Lead only bullets are too soft to grab the rifling and twist the bullet. It just shears off and sticks to the barrel. Trust me on this one.

This was recently:

It also leaded up my .22WMR revolver a bit, too, but not as bad as the 9MM. Then again, I only shot one box of the .22 stuff.

I've had good luck with the Armscor 22 mag ammo, in my rifle. Its cheaper by a good margin too, $7/box vs about $10 for CCI.

I bought one box of the 9mm 124gr LRN from Aim. It was some of the dirtiest ammo I've ever shot. It took me over an hour to clean the lead out of my P6 and I had only shot half a box! I normally shoot FMJ and probably won't ever shoot LRN after the effort it took to clean up after the Armscor junk.
