Hey guys, I'm in the market for another 9mm to compliment my M&P. I found a SS Slide P89 for $450 at a local shop. I know it's a discontinued model now, so I'm wondering if that's a decent price for NIB?

I'd say for a used Ruger auto you should be looking in the $200-$300 range. If it's NIB than maybe $350. but for $450 there are a lot of other pistols that I'd consider before the p-89. And no I'm not a ruger auto hater, my 9mm is a P-95. I payed $200 used in great shape, and it's never given me problems.

Have to agree with above. They aren't really anything special. A workhorse of a weapon, reliable and robust, but not really passion inspiring

I bought my blued one NIB in 1995 for 329.00.
450 seems high.

Price can vary greatly, depending on where you live. For example, I live in the greater Chicago area, and I paid $445, before taxes and background check, for my new Ruger P90 (blue) this week. Two weeks ago, my shop was asking $350 for a used, like new, P89 (blue). Sometimes Davidson's has better prices than my local shop, but in the case of my P90, they did not. However, it never hurts to check.
Just launch the Gun Genie, fill in the blanks to bring up a list of stores near you, and see if they have a better deal for you.

Don't know if they still have them but CDNN did have P-95s for under three hundred dollars about 4 or 5 months ago-might bear looking into if you are interested.
