Folks,
I just finished a weblog entry at http://capitoltruth.blog-city.com/index.cfm titled "Day two: win some, lose some…lost this one!".
It's a blow-by-blow of an attempt at blocking a bad gun bill. (Sigh. Yes, "attempt". Bad day at the office.)
The question is, how many of y'all are actually interested in that level of detail on the legislative process?
Is there an audience for something like this?

Very interested here Jim.
To pick a nit tho....the smaller font size white type on black background very difficult to read. The orange on black is even worse.
Otherwise...like the layout and specially like the content.

Indeed, very interested here also Jim. That was a good read- with a unfortunate ending. That sounds glib, but seriously, keep up the good work.
And from a design standpoint, maybe try a light gray background with black text...

Jim:
I am very interested in that sort of stuff. We still have a looooong uphill battle here in Ohio to even get CCW.
Keep up the fight!

Great site Jim. Its very interesting to read about the political goings on out there. And its great that one of our members is out there really working the system. Keep up the good work, and I'll be reading your site often.

Best thing since sliced bread Jim. Details of how they operate and who they are is very important to the opposition. Don't let them wear you down. Thanks much for being there, Bruce

Thanks, guys. I feel like this sort of info has been "restricted to a priesthood" and that's just BS. And I'm not just talking about in the gun rights world: high school "civics class" is among the worst jokes perpetrated by the "education priesthood".
With any luck, I hope my page gets noticed for content like this in college poli-sci classes and such. While I know for damnsure somebody like Ed Worley or one of the other long-term pros could do one hell of a BETTER job at a page like this...well, they're not. And I don't see it likely they will.
So y'all are just gonna hafta watch as I learn :).
Meanwhile, with luck the feedback I get and the contacts I'll make will take me to their level. Might take a bit though. Oh well.

Do not believe for a minute that your efforts here in Kali are not appreciated, especially by those of us who have no other help in keeping the madness at bay.

Jim,
Whether you are adding or subtracting "another brick in the wall" depends if we are on the offensive or defensive. Either way you're fighting the good fight for us.
Quick question: when I go to your blog site, the type is very crowded together. Is it me?
Thanks again,

Buckskinner: yes, there's a "maximum line height" that's fairly limited. The font size I'm using is bumping right up against the wall; I could go DOWN a size but readability would suffer. I had two lines trying to overlap each other until I realized the superscripting on a date was doing it.
Y'all think it's OK as is?
Also, I think I've finally got a color set out of the dozen or so pre-set combinations that works OK. Some are alarmingly bad, even most of the ones that look somewhat normal use too light a blue for the links.
