I picked up a brochure today from the Northern New York Bill of Rights Defense Committee. The term "Northern New York" is used properly in that they really refer to Northern New York and not White Plains and Hyde Park.
They have a website www.bordc.org . The site is a national site. The Northern NY chapter is the first and, so far. the only one in NYS.
The group is aiming their work against the PATRIOT ACT. It lists rights that are being threatened. They are amendments 1, 4, 5, 6 and 8 of the BofR and amendment 14.
There is NO mention of 2A. There seems to be a queasy assembly of left leaning entities making up the group.
I wonder just how much of this push is directed toward insuring America's and liberty's defeat in the present Iraq operation and how much is real concern for the BofR and the continuance of liberty.
I am interested to see what you think.
