It's always important to put your best foot forward when writing letters
to congress and engaging in online discussion.
Careful proofreading is essential for effective online discourse
and debate.
For example, about 85% of THR members use the word "loose" incorrectly.
Loose means not secure or to set something free. ("Let the dog loose." or
"The front sight on my 1911 is loose")
Lose is the proper word most of us are looking for. (We may lose our Second Amendment rights if we are not vigilant") or (I'm afraid our candidate is losing the election")
My goal is not to insult or demean anyone on this board but rather
help eliminate an error that has been repeated many times in letters to the editor and government officials.
