What's a Colt Cobra worth?

I saw a very nice Cobra in a local gun store the other day and would really like to take it home. IMO, the store prices on new guns are way too high (to the tune of $400 Kel-Tecs) but I know nothing of Colt values. The gun in question is easily 99% and looks like it's never been fired. It has a shrouded ejector rod, 2" bbl. and is marked Colt Mfg. Co. on the barrel, which I believe puts it around 20-25 years old. I don't think it comes with a box.

They're asking $550 for it. I looked it up in the most recent gun values book I had (2005) and it was listed at $462 NIB. From what I can tell, prices are going up but this still seems a little high to me. What's this gun worth?

I have a 1959 Cobra in about 75% finish condition. I paid $300.00

I also have a 1972 Cobra in about 98% finish condition. I paid $350.00

Both of mine have been bought within the last 2 years. As for the one your looking at, with no orginal box or paperwork $550.00, even on a perfect gun is too much IMO.

I paid $460 a few months ago for a nickel Cobra that has had about 25 rounds through it by the former owner. It came with the box.
