I was at the new Short pump mall today and they have a sign that says " no weapons even legally carried execpt by LEO" Their website is www.shortpumpmall.com They are owned by Forest city enterprises Their # is 216-621-6060 If you are local the customer sevice number is 804-360-1700. The really funny thing is that there is a Dick's in this mall and they sell guns and ammo. I would also like to recommend the simons mall at virginia center commons. Thanks for you time and your help in this matter. Patrick:fire: :fire:

Don't bother complaining to the mall.
Write to the STORES that you would buy from in the mall, and explain why you won't be spending your money there, and CC the mall management.
The mall management doesn't give a damn, as they get their money from the tenants.
But the tenants get their money from YOU.

I'll add the numbers to my list of places to call regularly.
The Virginia Center (Centre?) Commons Mall is a hop and a skip from Green Top GUNS anyway. :) And there's a Dick's across Route 1 from it, too. And it's not that far from DeGoff's gun shop in Mechanicsville.
I'm eagerly awaiting the 'other' new mall opening in Richmond in a week or two. There will be a Galyans sporting goods store and I'm trying to figure out how, or if, they are going to sell guns in the City. (The Short Pump mall is in Henrico County.) The City requires an individually obtained buyer permit and a seller permit for each transaction within the City limits.
And lastly, what smart fellow built an unenclosed mall in Richmond? It's either too hot/humid or too cold/damp for most people here to be walking from store to store in the weather. Maybe I'm missing something and they've installed outdoor heating and coolmist units.
And the Southside mall is going to allow doggies. I hate dodging dogs on leashes.
All-in-all, they can do what they like because I don't shop at Saks, Lord & Taylor or Nordstrom anyhow.
John...a few blocks from Carytown with easy access to I-95 and Green Top.

I don't ever do business with anti-Second Amendment bigots—or their tenants.

thank god i have a badge. i didn't even notice the sign at the short pump mall! oh well. they call it "concealed" for a reason. i want to go to the Dick's there, buy a rifle or shotgun, and carry it around the mall for a few hours. john, i didn't know that you had to have a permit to buy in the city of richmond. i reckon that's why there aren't any gun stores in the city. so is the sporting good store in the new mall going to have firearms? if they are, i'm assuming it's going to be a PITA to get one.

As has been suggested, do not patronize ANY BUSINESS located in this mall. Do however, notify the various establishments located there as to why they might be missing business. As for the operation owned by Forest City, while you might not care for that they've done, it's their store.
When your friend plays pool on your table, he or she plays according to YOUR rules. When YOU play on your firends table, you play according to HIS or HER rules. Of course, neither of you is compelled to play.

I have't lived in Richmond for a couple of years and don't miss it, but I do miss Greentop's. Wife goes to mall, I go up the road to Greentop's. Only complaint is that it was always standing room only and getting help was a pain. I hate to count the money I could have spent there if we had not moved.
