I am interested in buying a few extra genuine Beretta pre-ban mags (in very good to new condition) for my Centurion 9mm (I think the standard 92 mag will also fit the Centurion).

Can anyone suggest a good source (quality and price) for genuine Beretta pre-ban magazines?

Does it really make a difference if it is a USA vs. Italy made Beretta mag?

Also, other than a genuine Beretta mag, is there any other company magazine available for the Centurion that is good enough to be relied upon for potential self-defense use?

Thanks...

For decent range mags you might want to consider some of the asian contract mags floating around. Not as good as factory berettas or even GIs, but good nonetheless. (and cheap!!)

I saw some guy on ar15.com selling beretta mags for less than $30.... no pics though...

In my experience, the Beretta 92 pistols are not that picky about magazines. I have some no-name 15-rounders I bought about three years ago for $10 each that have all worked flawlessly. Ammoclip.com has Asian military contract mags for $26 each and $46 per pair. Worth a try, if you ask me.
