Question for you all, I have a Win. 1300 slug gun and just acquried a rifled barrel for it on the cheap, can anyone give me an idea what ammo to use that gives the best accuracy at 100 yds. This is my fall Illinois deer gun and am curious if anyone has tried the different ammo on the market and what results that they have gotten.

Best bet is to buy several boxes of different brands and see what your new baby likes. What works well in one gun may not be the best choice in another.

All 12 gauge slugs are effective, some spectacularly so. A full rifled barrel usually works best with the sabot style slugs. Buy a few 5 packs of the major brands and bench test until one brand shows smaller groups. Buyamessa that one for future use and go a-huntin'.

HTH...
