a friend has a 659 he wants to sell. anybody concealed one. what hoster did you use? is it harder to conceal than a 1911 or is the shorter length make it easier?

I tried to conceal one for a while. It was before I'd discovered IWB carry, and I used a plain thumb-break scabbard. Something like Bianchi's 19L, but I can't remember who made it. Anyhow, I personally found it too thick to comfortably conceal OWB (of course, I had Pachmayr grips on it. Hey, I was young...) It's heavy enough that you'll definitely want a specialty gunbelt, especially if you're planning on OWB carry. Thick leather won't do, it'll need internal stiffening.

The 659 is a little on the big side for concealment, consider a 669, much handier package.
