i'm wondering if anyone out there has an online lead on good ammo for my bushy ak in .223.

are there any small suppliers that are turning out quality ammo at an affordable price?

when i say quality i mean consistent, accurate, good materials, good assembly,,,etc

i could actually call my shots and have them be where i expect them to be,,, which is something new with this rifle, up to now it was iffy.

i was only shooting at 50 yds warming up for this months virtual match, which i did post targets for at that thread.

keep in mind i was fooling with elevation on them because i found my poi to be about 4 inches lower than the poa with this ammo as opposed to the federals i'd been using. i need to get back and redo the elevation for the new stuff.

eg, on the prone target all the 9s at the shoulder height give a fair indication of the groups i'm getting so far (poa was actually the top of the head) also the benchrest target shows me walking a series of 2 shots at each poa up the target, the 2x in the head area are a good example of how tight it will place

carl says he just shot a 1.75" group at 300 yds IIRC, i'm not quite up to those standards yet,,,

unfortunately i only had time for about 75 rounds, so i'll try some serious legal target shooting at a regular target next chance i get and see how i do,,,

nothing to do with jitters though, just some bad shots, i may have figured out why volquartsen doesnt want you to lube their sear face...

or at least i hope thats what the problem is :rolleyes:
