Trigger job question on Rossi. Can it match a S&W?

I have a Rossi M971 VRC .357. I must admit that the little revolver is a cool looking revolver. I like shooting it. However, the action on the DA trigger pull is not as good as my DA trigger pull on my S&W 638. I can pull the trigger on my S&W to the point just before it clicks near the SA point of the pull. I can achieve this every time. But, not so much so with the Rossi. Can a trigger job be done to a Rossi that will mimic that of a S&W?

Its been awhile since I worked on one, there pretty basic, easy to polish and cut some springs to reduce DA pull.
First find out how hard it is to replace springs or parts if you cut to much off a coil or over polish/stone the trigger or hammer.
The principle is the same. The newer S&W do have a nice smooth finish to produce a smooth pull.
