I surely would appreciate it.

Not me. But here's a pic of an MK40 and an SP-101, if that helps any.

The PM45 is 0.32" longer and 0.49" taller than the MK40. SP-101 is 5/8" longer and I dunno taller, probably like a half inch, compared to a J-frame with tiny grips.

Sure... I could extrapolate the difference between the 9 and the 45.

RyanM,
how is the recoil of the .40 Kahr compared to the SP101 in .357?

I find that hard to believe... :scrutiny:

O.K. I really don't know how hard a Mule kicks, but...
Everybody who ever shot my SP101 commented on hard the recoil is.
We shot it together with a 4" Colt Python in .357 Mgn and the Ruger recoils harder.
Don't believe things - just try it sometime.

My SP101 in 9mmPara kicks like a mule...
Hm. Hard to say. It's very ammunition dependent. 125 gr Remington SJHPs out of the SP-101 is easily the most painful gun/ammo combination I've ever experienced! My hand would be red as a beet after one cylinder! 10 shots and it'd be sore for the rest of the day!
Maybe I'm a wimp when it comes to recoil, but full power 12 ga. 2-3/4" slugs through my Serbu Super Shorty (http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=81348&stc=1&d=1215917294), even with the Mossberg hard plastic grip, don't even hurt my hand as bad as 125 gr .357s through that SP-101!
So I really could see a 9mm SP-101 being pretty uncomfortable to fire, considering that those Remingtons couldn't have been going all that fast out of a snubby (there was unburned powder all over after shooting them), and 9mm ammo is optimized for shorter barrels (with the cylinder, the SP-101's barrel is equivalent to a 3.9" automatic). 9mm +P+ would probably be just about identical power.
In terms of muzzle flip, the Kahr with 165 gr WWB moves around about as much as the SP-101 with factory 158 gr .357s. 180 gr .40 book max handloads make it jump a wee bit more! But in terms of pain, 180 gr max handloads feel more like the SP-101 with light 158 gr handloads, which were about halfway between book max .38 +P and book minimum .357. A little bit of a sting, but I could comfortably fire a couple dozen at a time.
Easier comparison; Kahr vs. Glock 23. I'd say the Kahr has about 20% more muzzle flip and "snap," with the same ammo.
I also got a chance to shoot a Kahr CW9, once. I believe it was with 115 gr standard pressure ammo. I was amazed at how little recoil there was. It felt about like shooting the SP-101 with standard pressure .38s. Very mild, like pointing the gun into a stiff breeze.

Jeez, talk about thread drift.
I can't give you a pic, but I can tell you that the PM 45 is about the same size as a PPKS. Maybe a tiny bit smaller, definatlely lighter though.

M203,
That's not a 9mm, that's a .45 and a wonderful little pocket full it is too.

Yes it is, Cat!
Between the 2, the 642 has been guarding the dresser drawer since the PM-45 came on the scene!
