Its a friend of mine that has it and I have no idea what it was before.

If the ingot on the right is hollow, it was a vessel used to transport radioactive materials for Xray machines. It will be pure lead and won't have any radioactive residue.

I was once given several of those and we tested them with a geiger counter. The only reading we got was from my partner's wrist watch.
They're made from pure lead and are a good source. I haven't seen any of those in years.
