How many talkshow hosts REALLY support the 2nd Amendment?

I've felt for some time that many of the various allegedly conservative talkshow hosts that we listen to have no interest in the 2nd amendment, and only support the RKBA because it is expected of them, and as part of their playing up to their conservative audience. I've listened carefully to several of them, and have tried to gauge the level of support that they truly give firearms ownership by their statements about whether they would want to own and use guns (or whether they do), and how often they discuss firearms issues and our 2nd Amendment rights. Right now, of the individuals that I have listened to, I can only think of three, of the ones that I am familiar with. These are:
1. Gordon Liddy
2. Laura Ingraham
3. Greg Garrison (local to Indiana)
If I recall correctly, Hannity has stated that he doesn't have any interest in guns, and doesn't own any. I don't recall any mention of the topic on his radio show. It seems to me that Limbaugh doesn't often discuss the issue, and appears only to give lip service to the principle. I haven't listened to Savage, or Michael Reagan, so I can't comment on them.
Any thoughts on this?
FWIW,
emc
P.S. It seems to me that we would do well to actively support show hosts who actively support us.

Have heard Hannity express many times his concern for the 2A. Just not often. Write to him and express your concerns, maybe he just has little viewer mail on the issue.

Hannity (who I am no fan of) said "My house has a gun," once.

Rush supports the 2nd Amendment
Bob Dergan in Harrisburg, PA
Mr. (can't think of his first name right now) Savage of the "savage nation" radio program, who was also on tv but got fired b/c
he was telling the liberals like it was, they boo hoo'ed and ganged up on him and since
we suffocate in a liberal media daily, you do the math.
Mike Gallagher, also in PA
Bill O'Reilly
Oliver North
can't tell you of anymore off the top of my head.

I have heard Hannity mention that he 'differs with Arnold on isuues like <list issues here>, guns, <list more issues here>'. I have never heard him make any defintive statement like, "I support 2A or NRA".
Locally in the liberal cesspool of Boston, Jay Severin is a talk show host and I've heard him say "I've got guns, and I'll use 'em" in reference to homeland security (note that guns was plural). He has a fantastic show and offers great insight to the political machines.
I suspect that the mileage a talk show host would expect to get out of being an outspoken 'pro' would not be sufficient to counter the downside. You can only proclaim yourself 'pro gun' so many times before most people (even non-sheep) start looking at you funny.

Dallas:
Mark Davis (until recently nationally syndicated on weekends) is a strong supporter.
Unfortunately few of the local or national hosts spend much time on the subject.

Talk radio is a stronghold of 2nd amendment practicioners.
--Ken Hamblin packs
--Don Imus packs
--Jim Quinn packs
--O'Reilley talks before he thinks
--Limbaugh has gotten better over time on his understanding of the 2nd amendment issues. He may not pack but I will guarantee you someone real close to him packs.
--Gordon Liddy's wife possesses an arsenal
I would further be willing to bet a large percentage of broadcast TV luminaries pack or are real close to someone who packs.

I have often wished that conservative talk show hosts (liberal too, for that matter) competed at Camp Perry instead of playing golf.
(To me a golf course is just a waste of a great rifle range.)
It might be even better if they all shot IDPA or subgun matches!

Bill O'Reilly
AFAIK, he's pretty much a fan of "reasonable" gun laws, meaning people like him and not you and your neighbor. The more I listen to him, the less I like him. I find him elitist in his views and pedantic in the way he expresses them. That said, he does take on some hot issues, e.g. Jesse Jackson's career of "shake downs" and high living on U.S. tax dollars. Elitist though. :barf: geegee

What geegee said!
O' Reilly is a closet nazi.
Just because a celibrity packs, it doesn't mean that he or she is pro-RKBA. There's plenty of the "...but not for thee" mentality out there.
Personally, I can't think of a single national radio figure who is unambiguously pro-RKBA. For most of them, I suspect it's just part of the baggage they have to carry in order to fit under the "conservative" label. Most of them don't have the slightest clue as to what the 2nd Amendment is really about – which is probably one reason why they don't discuss the issue much on their shows.

I would vouch for G. Gordon Liddy and Ken Hamblin, based on my checkered listening. Oh yeah, and Neal Boortz. The others are suspect, imho.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Dr. Laura is RKBA.
She's the only other national host that I can think of other than those mentioned

Clueless.

I have heard Sean Hannity state that he doesn't really like shooting but he owns a handgun, has taken lessons, and goes to the range fairly regularly to practice. He says he feels it is his responsibility to be able to protect his family. He's not exactly a gun nut but I wish more people had that attitude.

I understand that he is only a guest host for Rush, but Walter Williams (http://www.gmu.edu/departments/economics/wew/) has a healthy appreciation for 2A rights. His website has some good quotes and information.

I know Mike Reagan is pro gun.
I am not a regular listener of Savage, but I did hear him say something to the effect that he is ready for terrorist attacks because he spent last night oiling his AR15 and his Glock or something to that effect.
Retired talk show host Art Bell is very pro gun. Several of my friends have seen and talked to him while he was shooting. I have heard him say several times on his show that he has a gun for personal protection and wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Glenn Beck (http://www.glennbeck.com)
I listen to him on KLIF AM-570 (http://www.klif.com) in Dallas TX--same station as Greg Knapp & Darryl Ankarlo (also pro-2A).
Mark Davis is on WBAP AM--820 (http://www.wbap.com) as well as Gary McNamara & Mike Gallagher--all three are pro-2A.
Rush has talked about pro-2A stuff before. One show a few years ago, he talked about the hassle he had bringing his shotguns into NYC. Bet he didn't have ANY problem taking them to his new Florida home...
Nothing better than some good ol' fashioned Texas Talk Shows... :D :D :D
