That's an SBR upper for an AR platform

Pull the hand guards and let's see what's on the barrel

That will tell you the caliber it eats

then if you can get better pictures of the pivot hole on the upper or measure it

We'll know if it is a Colt or a Generic

Is this the upper for which you're making the foam case inserts for the USCG?

Here's all I know about it....

it's for the USCG

multiples of these are shipping in a case with 5" 9mm barrels (possibly M9 replacement barrels)

also shipping in the case are standar size AR mags.

So ... my guess was that these are replacement uppers for special SBR M4s for the USCG. Replacement M9 barrels and replacement mags shipping in a kit for a "ship board armorer" who does component swaps and sends the oldies back for disposition by a real armorer.

Maybe the blue thing on the muzzle is a FME (foreign material exclusion) cover to keep salt water out.

All I have is the this photo.

From the Setcan website I linked above:

missed your link...

That's definately it....

a training kit!

that's why they are packing the simulated SBAR M4 uppers with the M9 stuff, because they have simulated M9 receivers as well.

All this goes into a kit...probably so they can export the training to different sites.

very cool.

nice to know what our foam case inserts are really going for... we're running the job as a CM to the distributor who has the territory w/ Hardigg. So we don't have direct contact with the end customer.
