I bought a Chinese Knife..

Well,it was designed by an American so I guess my Schrades will forgive me.:)
I have been toying with the idea of a Neck/Pocket fixed blade for when I can't carry my sharpfinger or Kabar skinner on my belt. So I added this to my order from Knifeworks and it arrived yesterday.
A CRKT Dogfish (designed by Tom Krein)

It was able to remove arm hair out of the box but I touched it up anyway. So far it hasn't seen much abuse only tape,cardboard,..etc . The sheath is decent, holds the knife securely inverted. So far so good.
After I've used it for a few months or so ,and if its design works for my uses, maybe I'll up-grade to a "real" Krein. A pretty decent little knife as is though.:)
Ohhh.....and a in hand shot for scale.

Looks good!
I like neck knives. I have the SigTac PitBull - no idea where it is made, but it seems like a good knife:

The size is one of the best features of that good knife.
You may open far more bottles with that than any cutting you may do.
I was brousing and had to come back to your post; which I read at first as
"I bought a Chinese Wife!"

I usually have one of my vintage scout/utility knives on me for bottles. :) So I doubt I'll use the handy cap lifter.

Thanks for the pics. I still haven't got around to taking photos of mine. Heres the link to my similar thread raving about the chinese Dogfish. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=387892&highlight=dogfish
Still getting more than a fair amoun of use. I had it with me all week while on a business trip in northern KY this week.
I need to pick up a serated version to use while canoeing. I'll stick to the chinese version for that because It'll probably end up at the bottom of a lake like a couple other items I wasn't careful with :o. I would like to upgrade to a real Dogfish for EDC as well.
Congrats on the new knife and keep us posted on its exploits.

I went for the CRKT N.E.C.K. which I bought on a forum. It has the bright blade but a paracord-wrapped handle with a short lanyard with a skull bead. A nice change...usually the para wrapped jobs have a blackened blade. The kydex sheath had a tiny split on the edge and the blade wasn't held totally securely so I emailed CRKT and they sent me a replacement free! It's an amazingly sharp tanto blade and I know I can rely on it if push comes to shove. Plus there's the advantage that, in the field, I can undo the cord if I need to for emergency use.
