AK buttstock is too short/thin any suggestions?

I'm not using the right terminology, but the actual end of the buttstock on my Kreb's AK-103K is only like 4 inches and I can't get it seated in my shoulder - it keeps moving around or slipping off. I would like either a replacement buttstock that is taller or a recoil pad. I spent $795 for this thing and now it is uncomfortable to shoot.

Give it a little time. Once you get used to the "proper" length stock, you'll never go back. :) The AK's stock is the exact length of pull as the M16A1. The A2's are only about 5/8" longer, so its really not that different.
How do you like your AK103K otherwise? I've had mine a couple of years now and its still my favorite.

Hmm....not sure I'm reading you correctly but if it is a longer buttstock you are looking for, K-Var sells one (they call it NATO length) that is and inch and a half longer. I have pretty long arms and it feels infinitely better to me than a standard length model.

No, I'm talking about the actual butt of the stock. It is only four inches from the comb? to the heel?.

rock jock, AK103K might have a point. I found my SAR-1 "uncomfortable" to shoot. It seemed awkward and the stock WAY too short.
MY problem was that I was trying to keep my head back too far away from the rear sight. When I moved up close to the back of the dust cover things got MUCH better!!! I no longer want a longer stock! - Although a 1" kick pad would probably be OK - if I could find one.
Not sure this is your situation but I learned that for ME, I shouldn't shoulder an AK in exactly the way I was used to with other rifles.

If you shoot primarily from the bench, the long stock seems the way to go. Shooting from field positions, you soon realize that a shorter stock is much better.
