I just bought a Kobra to put on my Saiga, and this is my first time ever using a red dot.
So here is my question - after mounting it on the rifle when I look through it i see 2 dots. One is small and sharp right in the middle, but there is another brighter and slightly blurry reflection that moves around whenever i move my head.
This is the best picture of it i was able to get. You can see the large reflection and then a smaller one slightly lower and to the left.
That doesnt seem normal to me from pictures ive seen posted before. Am i doing something wrong here?

Looks like you have it turned up WAY too bright.
Turn it down and see if the 2nd image goes away. If not, clean the emitter window. If that doesn't work, it's busted. BSW

Good call. It was the brightness, thanks for the help.

Kobras are great sights. One caveat--if the power switch ever becomes significantly harder to turn, don't force it; take the sideplate off and lubricate it with a teeny bit of silicone grease.
I accidentally broke my switch knob off early this year after a year of turning it against great resistance (turns out the switch shaft hole had very tight clearances, and a teeny bit of oxidation had bridged the gap). I took it apart, cleaned and lubed it, and screwed the switch shaft back together with a longer screw, and it works fine.
FWIW, if your Saiga is 7.62x39mm and you zero it at 50 yards, it will have a far zero around 200 yards and will never be more than 2.2" from the line of sight between ~20 and ~220.
When zeroing, be sure to zero with the dot, not the tip of the chevron.

And what to do if your switch shaft starts to sieze up---rare, but mine did---if you have the EKP-8-02 coin-cell version (switch freezup may not be an issue with AA models, since the switch setup is different):

I bought mine from Tantal:

Email for current prices: tantal@sbcglobal.net
I paid $179 plus $5.85 shipping, but I think the price is a bit over $200 now with the decline of the dollar vs. the ruble.

I think you will like it a lot. Remember to turn it off! Also the battery compartment lid has to be screwed in very firmly.
Trying to remember the cyrillic letters left/right---up/down in a pain.
It holds zero remarkably well.

Setting the zero can be a pain though. I thought that process was a real big pain when I first started it, but I sorta like the way you set the zero and then have the "field adjustment" without changing the set zero.
