So we're in Gulf Shores on vacation. I noticed where there was a gun show a few miles down the road, so we stopped by.
I ended up acquiring a Winchester Model 1200 pump gun. Wood furniture, decent + finish, clean, and a smooth action. Dealer says it's a retired Corrections gun.
OTD..........$ 150.
Unable to post pics right now, but how'd I do shotgun guys ?

You did really well. The 1200 was my first pump shotgun and still one of my favorites. It is a great upland game bird gun. Just don't shoot steel through it.

Thanks everybody. I felt pretty comfortable with the transaction, but I thought I'd check with the Gallery.

Shrimp Festival starts Thursday. We've visited here 12 or so times, but never during the Shrimp Festival, so I'm looking forward to it.

boalex...
I havent been to Shrimp Fest or Gulf Shores in 4-6 years..to many pets to board and that ends up costing more than the trip...stop in at Mikeys or Nicks for the all ya can eat popcorn shrimp....if Nolans is still there try a Bacon wrapped filet...At the fest they used to have baked apple/cinnamon dumplings alamode....very good and exactly what the doc says to stay away from....
Have a good time ...wish I and the wife were there....and enjoy your new gun.....

Sadly, Nolan's is no longer in business. That was our favorite place down here, but after Hurricane Ivan came through, the owners didn't rebuild.
