I caught a glimpse of it in the movie The Punisher and was wondering if anybody has ever seen/used a set up like this. It looks like its a basic leather holster that sits upside down and you just position it on the back of your belt.

I can't even tell what I'm looking at from that fuzzy picture.
Is the holster attached to the guy, or something else?

Sorry about the cruddy picture, its the best I could do since I can't do screen shots during DVD playback. Its attached to the back of his belt I presume.

The design goes back to the days of the Wild West and Single Action Colts.
Reach for something in your strong-hand hip pocket with the palm inward, and then bring your hand and arm upward while still moving them backward. The draw is made with a horizontal move.
Personally I have no use for it, as I find it to be unconfortable and hard to conceal - but to each his own, and I'm not surprised that Hollywood has discovered it.
