Hey,

What's the best way to go about finding a class for the non-lethal use of an ASP? I'd like to get one knocked out now that my FL CCW finally arrived.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Mark,

I know that James Yeager, with OPS, is doing an OC/baton in Orlando the Sunday after the SHOT show.

John Holschen, with Insights Training Center, does a top-notch impact weapons course, if he's ever in your area.

Gomez,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I'm going out on a backpacking trip for the three day weekend in N. Georgia. I'll keep an ear out for those names, though. The OC/Baton class sounds just like what I'm looking for.

I got my OC/Baton cert from Yeager. If you can make his post-SHOT show class that was mentioned in the previous post, I'd recommend it.

Arrrrrggggghhh!!! Got a camping trip I've had planned for 4 months this weekend. I'll try calling him and seeing when he'll be teaching another. At the web site they don't list the training after the shot show so maybe there's hope. I leave for basic and OCS 18 Feb so I'm workin' on a time frame here.

Ask whoever certified you for CCW. I'm sure they'll be able to point you to the right people to go to for that certification.

Thanks again for the ideas--keep 'em coming. I thought maybe I'd need to repost under the topic "Why to use an ASP instead of a sword?" to get some answers!!! :D
