The Veteran's Day after 9/11 I was invited to give a speech to the student body at our local high school (by the students, not the staff!) and Mr. Rescorla's life was most of my speech. Thank God for East Texas kids, there were tears all over the gym when I finished, and it wasn't for my brilliant speechafyin' either.

I've gotten to know a gentleman that was one of Rescorla's "Hard Corps". He was a M60 machine gunner at LZ X-Ray. Ron says Rick is the most impressive man he has ever met.
I had the opportunity to get together with him again on Labor Day and I gave him several articles I found on the net. Rescorla had predicted the WTC would be attacked by plane and earlier his friend , Mr. Hill, had pointed out how easy it would be to attack with a car bomb.
Mr. Rescorla is credited with saving many lives from Morgan Stanley at the cost of his own. It hoped that a movie will be made of his life.
