Scope bases for Savage rifle?

I just put a Savage 10FCP 308 DBM with McMillan stock on lay-away.
It will need a good scope mount.
I was thinking of a Ken Farrell one-piece mount.
Is there something even better out there, or is this one pretty good?

I've been happy with my Farrells, except for not needing the 20 MOA. Probably need it for a 308. Dednutz makes a neat one piece mount with integral rings now, and I think you can get them with MOA adjustment.

That was actually going to be my next question. MOA?

Where I shoot, the longest shot possible is probably 400 meters.
Would a -0-MOA mount be fine for this, or do I need a 20 MOA or some other MOA?

So Farrell seems to be a good choice. I appreciate the input on this.

How much adjustment does your scope have? If it has enough, you probably don't need a 20 MOA at 400 yards, even if you're lobbing 308s. I'd look at EGW bases too.

I don't know how much adjustment my scope has, because I don't have a scope yet. Can't decide what to get.

I'm starting with the rifle first, then a base, then some 30mm rings, and then finally choose a scope.

The deadnuts mount has integral rings. I like mine.
