Does anyone have a New York Clothiers E-Mail Address. All the ones listed on their website are not accessible by my server or are no longer working.

I ordered some 5.11's from them Aug 7th and still have heard nothing from them.

Do they send an e-mail when items are delivered. Is this a bad company to order from?

I would place a call, but would rather not if I don't have to.

Ideas.

Yeah, give them a call, I dealt with a guy named Brian when I ordered my Body Armor and some 5.11's. He's good people.
I ordered via online and got my order pretty quickly.

AAARRRGGG!!!

I just got off the phone with them, and the lady I talked to, didn't seem to be able to find my order or any evidence of it.

She will be e-mailing me back...Not good!

G-ster, if they cannot find it, you can always go back to the folks at The Wilderness, that's where I got my last pair and they seem to keep a pretty good stock..but I am sure NY Clothiers will get you straight.

Got the e-mail from Doris at New York Clothiers. Seems their web based ordering system (and possibly email system) has choked on my order.

They have no evidence of my order.

Who else sells RR 5.11's at around 39 per pair?

I made a second order through NYC yesterday, only to get an email back from Doris saying they didn't get it in their computer. Shady deal if you ask me.

I am now going to try to find another place to get them.

I've ordered at least twice from New York Clothiers...only thing I didn't like is when I ordered Hatch gloves and they sent me the Damascus (?) ones...not that there's anything wrong with the gloves (they were too large in the smallest size anyway so I had to return them) but didn't appreciate the switcheroo. Other than that, I've had no problems.

I'd order from Wilderness. They're good people. Have you tried the Royal Robbins 5.12 pants? They're .01 more tactical, and they're nylon, not cotton.

Edited to add: Jeez we must shop at all the same places!!

Skunky,

I hadn't even heard of the 5.12 pants...where are they...I might prefer the nylon anyway.

I think there are stores here and there that cater to those of us who have a bit o' tacticality running in our blood. Actually I hate the word "Tactical" because it is overused in the police/gun world.

They're from RR as well...
There's no starboard booty strap, D ring or thigh cell phone pocket...the pocket configuation is a little different and I like them better...they're a little more expensive I think I got mine for $50. They have zippered instead of flap Velcro closures and the right leg one runs vertically. Not sure why. There is an open top pocket near the right knee that I used to stash maps or my cell phone (easy to get to while seated) and a little change pocket in the right pocket that I put my Zippo. No elastic belt either.

They are missing from RR's website maybe it's one of their Fall/Winter styles.

Skunkabilly,

I have had very little luck finding any online to look at. They sound like a good product though, and it looks lie RR is only marketing them for women currently.

They must not have sold enough for men.

RR does their stuff in seasons..their fall season is coming up soon as I bought some of their summer stuff on sale last month. I get all my clothes off season :p

Hawaiian shirts in December, baby!

When I start to see their 5.12s (I'll probably snag a pair or two more) I'll let you know.

Wow. I've had nothing but good results from New York Clothiers. Another company I've had good results from, with similar Royal Robbins prices, is Southern Public Safety Equipment Co.
email: Sales@southernpublicsafety.com

Talk to them on the phone, 800-845-0405, and they should be able to set you up.

I finally got my order from New York Clothiers. After the initial problems with the order, all is well.

I was impressed with the employees who took care of me, after their web system dropped the order twice.

I will order from them again.
