RIP to a real artist, and a real American.
His wife, June Carter Cash, was the daughter of Mother Maybell Carter (Carter Family), one of the most influential 'roots music' people we've seen. June Carter Cash died this past Spring.
I don't think Johnny Cash ever put together a focus group to help him produce his music - he didn't need any help.
