They look really nice, but so so much talk, sounds almost like an election comming up. Ok now bottom line whats the retail cost??????

Do a search on ebay for pistol packin' pardner.

October 14, 2008, 01:07 PM
I put one on ebay without a "buy it now" or reserve price to get an idea what the market would price it at.

October 16, 2008, 12:03 PM
I bought a very similar one, with a ball handle, for $69.95 about three years ago.

October 26, 2008, 02:39 AM

Go to this webpage follow the email link. Mention "The HighRoad" promo code and you'll be on the list for the first ones at $69.99

Well I gotta say, that is pretty slick.I'm going to have to wait until after Christmas to order mine [lay offs an' such have made things pretty tight around here] but I'm saveing that to ''favorites''....

Anybody here own one yet? Thanks PeashooterJoe..

A fella out of Georgia got the one that sold on ebay. Here's what he had to say.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You sir are a true craftsman!!!!!!!!!!! This thing is amazing; you've thought out every detail, I got a hell of a deal. I think these are worth much more then I paid, I think you could probably get around 100.00 to 125.00 for these, so many different functions. This is a great product. I can't wait to show it off...
Thanks again Tim, you have a real winner here.

Are you still planning to make the wad cutter attachment available?
Can you give us any details about diameter sizes, price etc...? :)

October 26, 2008, 09:28 PM
I didn't think it was going to be a popular option, but if there is a need for it, I'll answer the call. Here's what I'll do, I'll make provision for the accessory to be added to each loader regardless if a wad cutter is ordered or not. The wad cutter accessory will be an additional $25. It will consist of 1 wad cutter of your choice of caliber with the rubber cutting insert.

I think that's a sweet deal! :)

Sorry for warming up an old topic!

A friend of mine asked me to help him.
Because he considers my English to be a little better.:o
Does anybody know what happened to 6gun4fun?

My friend bought one of those loaders and is very happy with it.
Now he┤s looking for another one - or some parts, not sure...
But unfortunately he doesn┤t get any response since the middle of last year. Pretty much the same time that 6gun4fun was online here for the last time.

If anybody should know what happened to him: Please be so kind to tell me!
Hope the guy is alright...

Seems like ol Six Gun turned out to be a farce. He owes me a loader, since he has my money and there are more than me. Ive called his home once and he promised to get me square with him. He hasnt done it. Dont waste your ,money. When I call his home now I get an answering machine. Hope that helps

Wear out your cap and ball revolver by using the loading lever that came with it?
I've been shooting cap and ball revolvers since about 1970. Unless you have a piece of junk, you won't.
I've used balls up to .395 inch in my Colt 1851, without undue stress on the rammer. I usually use .454 or .457 inch balls in my .44s. Not a problem.
Wear out your loading lever?

Thanks Snaggletooth!
My friend so far hesitated with calling him - no cheap amusement when you combine not perfekt English skills with the costs for a call over the big pond.
I┤ll tell him him your story... Won┤t be happy. Anyway, it is what it is...

Thanks again!

There are more people than I who have been scammed. Ive filed a complaint against him with the state

There are now news?

March 16, 2010, 07:22 PM
get the one from dick dastardly. I have one. It works great and when you buy it he actually sends it.

July 29, 2010, 10:43 PM
I had purchased a desk top type of loader similar to the one Cabelas sells, but it is flimsy. I had emailed 6gun in March, but never got a reply. I would be interested in getting a loader that is solid for my .44.

Who is Dick Dastardly, what's his product like & how does one get in touch with him?

Dick Dastardly's Tower of Power Cylinder Loading Stand (

Try this link if the one above does not work for you

July 30, 2010, 08:40 AM
Yep. Sorry about that link.
On the Big Lube home page, click on Bullet Extras on the left hand side; the loader link is at the bottom of the drop down menu.

Powder Inc. sells one like it also for $63.95......

Would this loader work on a Colt Walker cylinder?

July 30, 2010, 10:51 PM
I would think so...the Walker is just a bit longer than the other Colts like the New Army, and I doubt the diameter matters, but call the guy and ask him to be sure.

July 31, 2010, 12:54 PM
The Powder Inc. loader will not work with a Walker or a Dragoon out of the box, but if you locate a bushing or something that's the diameter of the arbor to slip over the pin on the bottom of the press, it will work.

The pins that come with the press work with my Remington, Ruger, and Dance and Brothers, but their too small for the Walker and Dragoon. You can hold the cylinder in place, though.

July 31, 2010, 08:12 PM
slip over the pin on the bottom of the press

Yours must be different than has two removable arbor pins that screw is .244 dia...the other is .408 dia.
Irregardless...if it doesn't fit call the gentleman at Powder Inc...I'm sure he would be glad to make an arbor pin for you that will fit...although the directions say it works with ALL black powder revolvers!
You could also wrap tape around the arbor pin (if it's too small) to build it up so it would fit the Walker cylinder !!!!!!!

Like I always say, 89 percent of everything on the planet can be fixed with duct tape...

August 1, 2010, 12:15 AM
anyone know the diameter of the Walker arbor??

August 1, 2010, 02:45 AM
Yep. Sorry about that link.
On the Big Lube home page, click on Bullet Extras on the left hand side; the loader link is at the bottom of the drop down menu.
Thanks. That looks a lot more robust than the flimsy one that Cabelas sells.

August 15, 2010, 12:39 PM
Really...I'm thinking about making one of the clamp style.

Granger makes a whole line that looks like they would work.
