I've heard about hese for some time but I've never seen one or heard mention of anyone buying one of these kits from fedral arms corp. Any input?

The only one I've familar with is a total and complete POS... I don't see one in FACs catalog though, so perhaps it's a different one. The trigger bar was a friggin clotheshanger wire it felt like, all the parts felt pretty chinzy. On top of that I did not like the bolt carrier slamming around right under the standard AK filmsy dustcover just a fraction of an inch from my cheekbone.... Idiot friend of mine bought one, more or less threw the kit away not long after, I thought it was pretty damned ugly to boot even if it was made better...

K-Var makes such a kit as well. I've handled one of those, and it seemed nice enough. Didn't ever fire it, though.

Well, I don't know how I missed it in their blasted catalog but that is the one I was talking about. It just feels really tacky for lack of a better term, cobbled together IMO...
