Hey guys, I'm looking for someone who can improve my Remington 700 vsf. A website that will make the rifle better, improve the bolt and what ever else can be done to the rifle.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys

What kind of improvement are you after? Accuracy, aesthetic, ergonomic, etc?

My bolt has a crack in the weld where the bolt and the handle meet.

The rifle fires fine and I have only put 5 rounds threw it.

I dont know if that makes sense to you but it does to me.

There are many out there that will accurize(sp?) the 700. One company that I've dealt with (and highly recommend) is Accuracy Systems, Inc. I haven't bought any complete rifles (or had them build on my rifle), not because I don't want one, just haven't gotten around to it yet. They do produce high quality rifles, and rifle parts. They are known for reworking the Mini-14, but they now work on the 700 (among others).

I ordered parts for my Minis from them. At the time, they were in the process of moving (to SC). I still received my parts in less than a week. The parts that I ordered were already packed up when I called. Those two facts really impressed me about their customer service.

Like I said , there are many 'smiths that work on the M700. ASI is just one. Other people will chime in with others, but it's worth it to take a look at them on the internet.

If you just need the bolt handle rebrazed, I'd think about simply having Remington take care of it.
