Picked up a nice Inland General Motors M1 Carbine today.
Serial number 497xxxx. It appears to be all matching. What are these selling for these days?

A photo would help appraising it. Values vary based on how close they are to original issue condition and general condition. An average mixmaster Inland in good condition should be around $500-$600.

CMP still has them: $419 for Rack Grade, and $495 for Service Grade.

Last spring Big Five Sporting Goods was asking $899 for Inlands. I think they were Israeli surplus. Don't know if they sold any at that price. I see they're asking $799 now.

I like the .30 carbine. No its not a bear rifle or an AR but that's ok I already have a bear rifle and an AR.

I have always liked the 30 Carbine. I wish I had bought more of em while they were cheap. The first rifle I ever fired was a Postal Meter carbine. That was in 1966 or so. My dad still has it to this day. He bought it in a pawn shop for $20 before I was born.
