Looking at this:

Checked the local Gander Mountain last night to see one in person and they didn't have anything. Northern Tool and Sportsmans Guide sell them for $89. I was pretty open last night while looking and checked a few box safes as well. My budget is very small and the main concern right now is to keep guns out of the reach of a very curious and quickly growing 14 month old. I just can't tell if it will be sufficient enough for three to four mid-to-small size handguns.

Should be OK. I can put several handguns in a pretty small place.

I saw one just like this one at sporting goods store here in nc. they seem to be made ok. the metal is kinda thin, i`m sure i could get it open pretty easy with a crow bar. it would take a little work so i don`t think the kids could get it open..

It is certainly not thief proof, but definitely harder to pry into one than to pick a little box safe up off the floor and run out the door. I'm not bolting something to my floor. Plus the floor space saved is a big plus.

you are going to be cutting the wall, so think about placement vrs accessibility. and what you will put over it (picture?) to hid it from plain view--22+ by 18+ inches needs advance thought. save the piece of wall boad so that if you ever move and want to take it with......
as JD says.....resistance is good (unless your a borg). $100 seems a good price if you can do the instillation by your self.
