need some help here. I'm a newbie and I'm contemplating my first rifle purchase.
I was all set to throw some money down on a new LMT STD16, which for me here in NY is called a COMP 16. (NY compliant model)
LMT does not offer a muzzle break on this model. They offer only if I remember correctly is a target crowned barrel. They mentioned that they do not attach a muzzle break. It will be a 16" barrel.
Looks as far as tacticool do not really matter to me.
I will be using the rifle at the range etc.... for plinking.
Could someone explain the pros and cons of having a target crowned barrel vs. a muzzle break?
Also if anyone could post a picture of an M4 16" barrel without the muzzle break that would be great.
Thank you
