Yet another wacky creation. I based this on a single holder for an HKS Speed Loader. That one didn't work out so well. This one seems to be much better, though it's a bit thick.

Reloading is quite a bit faster with this rig.

It's angled so it contours around the hip. I carry it strong side since the gun is in the appendix position.

The "shield" is for comfort. It also keeps it steady.

I'll test this one extensively. Incidentally, 6x45 ACP moonclips fit, but they don't "click in". This is fine for competition, but not for anything serious.

I hope this one works out better. It does take up a lot of space though. A single holder may be more comfy.

It's for a S&W Registered Magnum PC with 3.5" barrel from Lew Horton. Obviously, it'll work for the 327 and 627 revolvers.

i gather you "withdraw" the moonclip by inserting your finger in the center..or am i missing a cutout in the side?

wouldn't it be more comfortable/concealable if the rounds straddled the belt

There are cut outs for the fingers. Drawing a clip is pretty easy.

I'm contemplating making two singles, but that doubles the number of straps. Only one strap probably won't work.

Yes, it would be more comfy outside the belt, but then it would print and look like a moonclip holder. "Hey, is that a moonclip holder or...."

This design required lots of testing to come up with. Hopefully, it'll "survive" a gun class or two and competition.

Additionally, carrying it in the appendix position is pretty comfortable. A 12 hour day with it on will tell all.
