We've seen Enfield carbines in 7.62x39, and I think we all know they're awesome. ;)
But, seriously, I really want an Enfield in 6.5 Grendel. Is there a way to get such an animal?
Ohhh!!! Oh! Another idea...
Winchester 1895 in 6.5 Grendel!
Man, somebody's gotta start making these guns, I seriously want 'em.
:D

all you need is a barrel blank, reamer & h.s. guages.
have a gunsmith thread the blank, ream & set the headspace.
if your looking to have it done chris at aquila firearms in la port will thread & chamber just about anything. if he doesn't have the reamer & guages reamerrentals.com has them

In either rifle, .260 AI with a 123 Scenar loaded long (or even a 6.5-06... heck, 6.5-284) would seem to me a better use of the long magazine. Why chamber a long-action rifle for an AR-15 length cartridge?

"...I really want an Enfield in 6.5 Grendel..." Big time custom work. Barrel, extractor, ejector and mag as a minimum. It'd cost you more than a previously butchered rifle is worth.

many enfields were converted to .223 & 7.62x39 in england & austrailia before their prime minister went nuts.
it wouldn't be any harder to do a 6.5 grendel conversion & if done by a good gunsmith with high quality parts you would have a rifle worth more than the original $150-200 selling price not butchered bubba job.
223 & 7.62 x39 conversions (http://http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting/no4223/index.asp)

building stuff like this was once a common here, now everyone seems to think if it doesn't come in a box from walmart its not worth owning & if you built it yourself your a butcher hack with a worthless gun
