A way to save processor time on the server?

Don't know how vBulletin works behind the scenes, but I thought that there might be a way to put a little less load on the server.

I frequently search on my own username to see posts that I'm interested in, and I'm guessing that's pretty common. The default "Search For Posts From..." limit for searches is Any Date.

I rarely want to go back that far, and I suspect the same is true for most of us. But I don't often think to change that - I leave it at the default, which means that the search has to find and then display a lot of unwanted results.

If the default were, say, 2 weeks, then the searches would be limited, and I thought this might translate to a reduced processor load and bandwidth. (displaying the results)

Whatcha tink? Worth doing? Big improvement? Too small to bother with? None because of behind the scenes realities I don't know about?

Server load is minimal -- rarely above 0.3 (2 would be "optimal" on this server, so it's underutilized. :) )

Don't worry about it.
