I do not know much about Colts. I have a 357 King Cobra (4" barrel) that has a really shiny finish. Is this a different or limited verison compared the the standard dull/brushed finished Colts?

WIthout a original matching box, or a Colt letter, it is hard to tell if it was factory done or a after-market. They make most of them in brushed stainless, but there are a few that came out in bright ss (a.k.a. Ultimate SS) and polished nickel.

But it is relatively easy to shine one up. Takes time, but is definitely a DIYer job. But it is also possible to screw it up royally with power tools.
