Hi, I started a thread a couple of weeks ago about an hr breakaction shotgun(1980) The lever was binding when opening the gun. After tearing this thing down, I find that the latch spring protudes slightly below the latch, which binds on the locking lug when opening. It locks up tight and works fine however. I did not remove the latch, my question, is there a knob or stud on the rear of latch which will hold the latch spring a bit higher on the back of the latch, allowing it to clear the lug? Thanks.
PS My son (9) shot his first duck with the shotgun a couple of weeks ago!
