I have a few thousand once fired pieces of brass that haven't been cleaned or anything. Still have used primers in them. What is a reasonable price for that sort of thing to you reloaders per 1000 pieces? I have no need for it all, I am not a reloader, but though someone might be able to use it so I was going to put in the BST section but have no idea what to price it at. I haven't sorted through it all yet, but I think most of it is remington brass if that makes a difference.

chances are pretty good its worth more at the scrap yard then to a reloader.

"unfinished" I assume is the term used for uncleaned, old primers still in, etc. brass? Thanks for the info.

3-1/2 to 4-1/2 cents apiece? Or $35-$45/1000. .40 S&W is almost as common as 9mm Luger. Although brass is getting harder to find because of the scrap scroungers. I'll pay more for .45's, but I've never paid $60-$70 for 1000 of anything.

I recently sold a USPS flat rate box full (2800 pieces) of mixed headstamp, no nickel 40S&W for about $70. They had been cleaned but not polished and I had sorted out all the rough ones. Others ask a few bucks more but I wanted to sell them fairly quickly. It took two days. Check with your local recyclers. Locally I can only get $1.40 per pound (2800 pieces is just shy of 30 pounds), but others can get more in their area. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys. After I sort through them all I will probably just put them up in the BST section for around $25-$30 per 1,000. Sound fair if they are in decent shape? I would rather someone be able to use them for shooting than just have them recycled.
