I was just given a nice cva firebolt but the top of the barrell had some pitting so i finished the barrell with bed liner coating it looks great. My ? is how will it hold up and should I be worried about anything like heat or melting , this gun will be hunted with around 10 days a year and shot around 5 .Thanks

I did it on an old Wards bolt action .22. The stuff is tough.
If it can handle being in the direct sun on a 110 degree day in the back of a pickup bed it should be ok on a firearm.
If the finish does get marred its easy to touch up.

Should work fine.
Had a kid with a Zolatoned, all over, target rifle. Glad she could shoot cause that gun was butt ugly.

Works great on stocks as well, plastic or wood.
