Just cleaned my beretta Al 390 and put it back together. However, when the action is open the piston slides up and down the shaft (i can hear it sliding). I don't recall it ever doing that. The gun is new to me so i wasn't sure. I think it's supposed to stay in the gas cylinder. Is that correct? Thanks in advance for any help.

Are there any beretta owners out there that can help???

It's normal for it to move if the action is open. Nothing to worry about.
