Yes Al, smiles indeed.
With everyone's permission(Not required but sought) I'll endeavor to continue in the vein of our old TFL BB, and post some stuff about getting into shotgunning. Give me a day or two and I'll get to it.

Dave,
It's good to know where I can go for my shotgun questions. To continue our conversation from TFL, I'm feeling better about that 870 Wingmaster every day. Merry Christmas all.

And we wouldn't have it any other way.
You DO know that you're also responsible for turning the lights out at the TFL Shotguns, right? ;)

Folks, I promise that if another deal like those 1100s comes along, you'll be the first people to know about it. That is, right after I burn up some plastic and get at least one. Even risking the wrath of the Permanent Head of the Budget Committee (Wonderful Wife) would be worth it.
And it's good to see you folks here...

Dave, glad to see you with the new board.
I'm the proud owner of two older Wingmasters that saw use in North Carolina at, uhh, stationary elevated points of observation.
I have always enjoyed your contributions to TFL, though I never posted there much. I look forward to this board and will chime in myself from time to time.;)

Well I think my first post on TFL was in the Shotgun forum, so I figured I'd drop in here first also. Good to see everyone checking in!

I'm glad I found you guys. Was off line for a week or so. Glad to see Dave's here. I was never a huge poster over at firingline but for those of you who I may have talked to my old screen name was kehrby. I just changed to more accurately describe my new love for Ruger. Oh don't get upset, I still love my Wingmaster!:D

Wow- talk about digging up old threads...
Dave, sure sorry I missed that party. Things were kinda not looking too good for the home team right about then. It was a while later that I found out GunSpot was no longer there and set out to track you down, only to find you doing the Mod job here. Too bad Randy Cain never made it by here too.
Oh well, spilt milk and all that. Thanks for all you and the rest of the crew here have done and continue to do to make this the web's best firearms forum,

As a relative newcomer, I have to agree, it's a terrific site that I visit and read nearly every day. Good Job.

Forum necromancy is disorienting.
Fortunately, THR is chock-full of threads explaining how to deal with zombies. ;)

I don't check much on the other parts of this board. I've grown tired of the "my gun is better than your gun" threads, the "your gun is a POS" remarks, and even the "what gun is best for a horde of giant zombie robot spiders" threads. But I always check the shotgun board at least a few times a week. Wisdom from Dave, a few chuckles from SM, and the shared knowledge from quite a few others is always worth my time.
And no one here bad mouths my 311's, my Lee Loadalls, or the fact that I haven't changed the load thrown by them in years. I've always said that shotgunners are a more polite folk.
Dave McCracken

John, only a Blaggard would diss 311s, Loadalls and a tried and true recipe that just keeps working and working and working. Blaggards seem to be scarce in these parts...
More polite? Perhaps the Zen training needed to hit something when it gets someplace else encourages maturity....
