I saw one of these (used) in a shop recently. A visit to Mossberg website does not show them.

The gun is priced @ $150 or so and I think I can get it for $100. OK deal?

Are these reliable guns?
If they are not made anymore are parts/mags available?
Are they not made due to problems?

I have single shot and double barrel shotguns, and was really looking for a pump, but this gun just caught my eye as I have never seen a bolt action before. It is done up in camo, and is in pretty good shape.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Deac

Ok, a quick google of the gun led me to information about a recall for some of the models, serial # M00001 to m015304 were recalled.

I will check the serial # tomorrow.

The camo pattern is a turkey gun, smoothbore with a polychoke. Any comments about the polychoke?

Thanks,
Deac

I cant say anything about the new(er) model your looking at, but my grandfather has one (bolt action) thats probably 35+ years old and going strong...
Some people dont like the poly choke..... i have to say it is sorta ugly, but ive got it on one of my knock around mossbergs and after targeting it on paper the pattern does change when its adjusted.

If it can be had for $100 Id probably go for it if it fits your needs.
